Many people struggle with social media content. They see others posting like crazy on Instagram, getting a lot of followers, likes and interaction, and they think “That’s what I want!”
Then, 1 of 2 scenarios tend to happen:
1: They try and copy what others do, or 2, (and most commonly) embrace defeat:
“Well, I don’t have that (insert: lifestyle, car, good looking girlfriend etc) so I therefore can’t post anything”.
In a nutshell, effective social media content consists of 2 factors:
1: It's authentic.
2: It has value.
The authentic factor is just right under your nose. Post what you do have, not what you wish you had. Posting inauthentically will result in running out of content in no time…worst of all, your audience will see right through it.
Value can take different forms - you can provide value in the form of information, or social value in the form of participation and community. Bottom line is, you want it to stick.
Add these 2 factors together and you've got the basis of effective social media content. Now add a social media strategy and you're unstoppable :)
